Greece hires advisers on airport, Hellenikon projects
ATHENS, March 23 (Reuters) – Greece on Wednesday picked BNP
Paribas (BNPP.PA: Quote, Profile, Research) and NBG (NBGr.AT: Quote, Profile, Research) to advise it on plans to
extend the concession agreeement of the Athens International
Airport (AIA), the finance ministry said.
It also picked Citigroup (C.N: Quote, Profile, Research) and Piraeus Bank (BOPr.AT: Quote, Profile, Research) as
advisers on plans to develop the site of the capital’s old
airport at Hellenikon.
Greece agreed with the EU and the IMF in February to
substantially scale up its privatisations targets, as part of a
drive to shore up its battered finances and get out of its debt
crisis.
