BMW increase 11.2 percent in sales in the first quarter
The German carmaker BMW, comprising the brands BMW, MINI and Rolls-Royce increased its sales by 11.2% in the first quarter over the same period in 2011, to 425,528 units the .
BMW said today in a statement that sales of the BMW brand increased in this period by 11% to 356,548 units of, while the MINI made it a 12.1% to 68,210 units.
BMW sold between January and March 770 Rolls-Royce units, up 6.5%.
The German manufacturer of luxury car sales increased from January to March in Germany (2% to 66,222 units), U.S. (16.6% to 75,729 units%) and China (36.8% to 80,014 units) .
The BMW Group sold in March the figure monthly record 185,728 units, up 12% over the same month in 2011.
“BMW reported a record sales last month and the best first quarter in its history,” said Director of Sales BMW, Ian Robertson.
BMW bets this year by the new Series 6 and Series Gran Coupe 7.
