Microsoft’s net profit falls 2.3 percent in first quarter

The Department of Windows and Windows Live saw its contribution to the company by 3.9 percent to 4.624 million dollars.

“We have seen a strong demand for our range of desktop and business infrastructure,” said CFO Peter Klein, who pointed to a “continued cost discipline” to consolidate the revenue.
