Nestlé buys Pfizer Nutrition by 11,850 million

The Swiss giant Nestle food products announced Monday it has acquired the nutrition branch of the U.S. group Pfizer for 11,850 million dollars.

The group felt that Federer to do this, has made “a strategic move to strengthen its global position in infant nutrition”, a sector that is already strongly established.

Approximately 85% of sales are made by Pfizer Nutrition in emerging high-growth, enabling Nestlé “perfectly complete (their) child nutrition business existing,” according to CEO Paul Bulcke.

The purchase, which must still be approved by competition authorities “will contribute positively to the Nestlé model, while for growth and margins”, says the group.

Nestlé has estimated turnover in 2012 of Pfizer Nutrition 2,400 million dollars.
