Hillary Clinton will meet tomorrow with the princes of Asturias

The Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, and the princes of Asturias will meet tomorrow for the conclusion of the XVII Forum Spain United States held in the State of New Jersey.

Diplomatic sources said the U.S. diplomat and Felipe de Borbon and his wife, Letizia Ortiz, “will have a meeting shortly before the close of the Forum”, which will address issues such as economic and fiscal situation in the euro area the opportunities in infrastructure and transport and bioscience industry growth.

Clinton will attend the closing of the meeting from Rio de Janeiro, where he attended the UN Conference on Sustainable Development (Rio +20).

The Princes of Asturias attended tonight at the opening dinner of the Forum, held at the Museum Liberty Science Center in Hoboken (New Jersey), along with a Spanish delegation comprising the Minister of Development, Ana Pastor, and Secretary of State for Trade, Jaime García-Legaz, among others.

By attending this event U.S. Secretary of Transportation, Ray LaHood, and Sen. Bob Menendez of New Jersey.

During tomorrow’s meeting will be discussions on economic and fiscal situation in the euro area, the opportunities in infrastructure and transport and bioscience industry growth.

This meeting of the Forum is part of the activities of the U.S. Spain Council, a non profit organization created in 1997 by civil society initiative and with support from the administration and academic institutions of both countries.

It aims to promote a pluralistic dialogue on economic, financial, cultural, educational, political and professional, between Spanish and American society.
