Herman Van Rompuy believes that "the euro is not going away"

Best Growth Stock – The European Council President, Herman Van Rompuy, said today that the euro will not disappear by the sovereign debt crisis because that is the political will of the 17 eurozone countries.

Van Rompuy, who is in Washington with President of European Commission Jose Manuel Durao Barroso, will be welcomed by U.S. President Barack Obama, who addressed the European crisis.

Speaking to the VRT Flemish public radio, acknowledged that the principle of market crisis only had his sights on a number of countries, but “the climate of trust has evolved so bad that now the whole euro area is concerned” .

He also stressed that the U.S. also has problems, not just Europe, with a significant deficit and high debt.

Despite this scenario, Van Rompuy said the euro will not disappear, although there is no guarantee that full, he admitted.

“It’s really our political will” save and sustain the euro, he said. “This project has required too much energy” to let the euro go away now, he said.
