Ahmadinejad calls for new talks with major powers

TEHRAN (BestGrowthStock) – Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad called on Monday for fresh talks with major powers over the country’s disputed nuclear program, which the West fears is a cover to build bombs.

“Following the signing of the nuclear fuel swap deal, it is time for 5+1 countries to enter talks with Iran based on honesty, justice and mutual respect,” Ahmadinejad said after an agreement was signed between Iran, Brazil and Turkey designed to resolve the country’s nuclear row with the West.

The “5+1 countries” refers to the five permanent United Nations Security Council members — the United States, Russia, China, France and Britain — plus Germany.
