Argentina’s YPF plans $300 mln global bond sale

BUENOS AIRES, Nov 5 (BestGrowthStock) – Argentina’s biggest energy
company YPF (YPFD.BA: ) approved on Friday an offer to sell $300
million in global bonds, the first time the company looks to tap
foreign credit markets since 1999.

YPF, the local unit of Spain’s Repsol (REP.MC: ), said company
directors had agreed that the offer could be extended to up to $600
million. The proceeds will be earmarked for investment programs.

“The board of directors’ approval … means YPF is again emitting
bonds overseas, something it did for the last time in 1999,” a
company statement said.
