BlackRock Inc says Slim bought shares in company

MEXICO CITY, Nov 28 (BestGrowthStock) – BlackRock Inc, one of the
world’s largest money managers, said on Sunday that Mexican
tycoon Carlos Slim has purchased shares in the company.

BlackRock Inc (BLK.N: ) said in a release that Slim’s
Inmobiliaria Carso real estate unit had purchased the stock in
its Nov. 15 secondary offering of 58.7 million shares at $163
each, but did not say how much Slim had bought.

“I can’t provide more information than what is in the
release,” a BlackRock spokeswoman in Mexico City told Reuters.

Slim’s spokesman was not immediately available for a
comment. Media reports said last week that Slim had purchased
about 2 percent in BlackRock.

Slim, the world’s richest man, has made similar investments
in U.S. companies in the past, from luxury retailer Saks
(SKS.N: ) to publisher New York Times (NYT.N: ).
