Bookies see Europe stocks halting sell-off

PARIS, Jan 29 (BestGrowthStock) – Financial bookmakers expect to see
the leading European benchmark indexes inch higher on Friday as
the market halts its worst sell-off in a year, but the gains
could be limited as easing metal prices weigh on mining stocks.

Financial spreadbetters expect Britain’s FTSE 100 (.FTSE: ) to
open 7 to 8 points higher, or as much as 0.2 percent, Germany’s
DAX (.GDAXI: ) to open 15 to 21 points higher, or as much as 0.4
percent, and France’s CAC-40 (.FCHI: ) to open 2 to 7 points
higher, or as much as 0.2 percent.

European stocks tumbled 1.2 percent on Thursday, extending
their steepest sell-off since January 2009, knocked lower by
renewed concerns over banks and mounting fears about Greece’s
debt woes.
