BP vessels at spill site likely to evacuate Friday

HOUSTON (BestGrowthStock) – Key vessels and drilling ships at the site of BP Plc’s blown-out oil well in the Gulf of Mexico likely will evacuate later on Friday due to Tropical Storm Bonnie, which would leave the site abandoned for about 48 hours, the top U.S. oil spill official said.

“If we have to evacuate the scene we’re probably looking at a very limited window — probably 48 hours,” retired U.S. Coast Guard Admiral Thad Allen told reporters at a briefing.
