BP’s Gulf well test could exceed 48 hours-BP exec

HOUSTON, July 17 (BestGrowthStock) – A critical pressure test on BP
Plc’s (BP.L: ) (BP.N: ) blown-out Gulf of Mexico oil well could
last beyond the original 48-hour deadline, and pressure was
rising slowly, a company executive said on Saturday.

“There’s no evidence we don’t have integrity,” Kent Wells,
BP’s senior vice president of exploration and production, said
regarding the slowly rising pressure in the well. The 48-hour
mark will come Saturday afternoon, but he said that “under
certain circumstances” the test could be extended.
