Brazil 2010 budget cut seen at $5.64 bln-Mantega

BRASILIA, May 13 (BestGrowthStock) – Brazil’s government may cut
the 2010 budget by 10 billion reais ($5.64 billion) in a move
to help prevent the economy from overheating, Finance Minister
Guido Mantega said on Thursday.

Speaking ahead of a meeting with Budget and Planning
Minister Paulo Bernardo to determine a final figure, Mantega
said “discussions are for something around 10 billion reais,
approximately.”

On Wednesday, Mantega said in an interview with Reuters
Insider that the government would soon announce “meaningful”
