Brazil yields rise on central bank meeting minutes

SAO PAULO, June 17 (BestGrowthStock) – Yields on Brazilian interest rate futures
contracts (0#DIJ:: ) rose in early trading on Thursday after the central bank
released the minutes from last week’s rate-setting meeting.

The yield on the contract due January 2011 (DIJF1: ) jumped to 11.25 percent
from 11.20 percent. The yield on the contract due January 2012 (DIJF2: ) surged
to 12.23 percent from 12.16 percent after the central bank said in the document
that the outlook for benign inflation in Brazil remains at risk.
