CANADA STOCKS-TSX opens higher as mining stocks rise

 TORONTO, April 6 (Reuters) - Toronto's main stock index
firmed at the open on Wednesday as mining firms rallied on
record gold prices and strong copper prices.
 The Toronto Stock Exchange's S&P/TSX composite index
(.GSPTSE: Quote, Profile, Research) opened up 1.06 points at 14,271.59. Nine of the
index's 10 main groups rose.
