CANADA STOCKS-TSX opens higher on commodities, jobs data

TORONTO, April 8 (Reuters) – Toronto’s main stock index
jumped higher at the open on Friday as rising commodity prices,
including a record high for gold, boosted key resource shares
and strong jobs data lifted sentiment.

The Toronto Stock Exchange’s S&P/TSX composite index
(.GSPTSE: Quote, Profile, Research) opened up 82.18 points, or 0.58 percent, at
14,189.95.
