Canadian consumer confidence fell in April -source

TORONTO, April 26 (BestGrowthStock) – Consumer confidence in Canada
fell in April, highlighting the fragility of the economic
recovery, according to a source who had seen a Conference Board
of Canada report set for release on Tuesday.

The source said the report will show the board’s consumer
confidence index fell 7.8 points to 84.8 in April. The reading
for March was revised to 92.6 from 92.5.

He added that the balance of opinion worsened on all four
of the survey’s questions.

The fall comes after the index rose modestly in March.

The latest survey is based on interviews conducted between
April 8 and 19, the source said.
