China’s top airlines cancel flights to Europe

SHANGHAI, April 18 (BestGrowthStock) – China’s two major airlines,
Air China and China Southern Airlines, cancelled most flights
to Europe because of a huge cloud of volcanic ash that has
spread across Europe, the official Xinhua news agency said on
Sunday.

Air China (601111.SS: )(0753.HK: ) said it has cancelled most
flights from Beijing to Paris, Frankfurt, London and Moscow.

China Southern Airlines (600029.SS: )(1055.HK: ) said it has
cancelled flights from Beijing to Amsterdam.

Europe’s air travel chaos deepened on Saturday as the cloud
of ash spewing from a volcano in Iceland spread southeast
across the continent, halting more than three in four flights
and stranding tens of thousands of passengers worldwide.
