Commodity stocks drag European shares lower

LONDON, Oct 15 (BestGrowthStock) – European shares turned negative
on Friday, with miners and oil majors lower after commodity
prices edged down as the dollar held steady ahead of a speech by
U.S. Federal Reserve chairman Ben Bernanke.

By 0809 GMT, the pan-European FTSEurofirst 300 (.FTEU3: )
index of top shares was down 0.1 percent at 1,083.26 points,
after opening in positive territory.
