CORRECTED – BP’s oil-capture systems shut Friday, to restart Saturday

(Corrects that only one system shut down)

HOUSTON, June 19 (BestGrowthStock) – BP Plc (BP.L: ) (BP.N: ) said its
drillship oil-capture system at the gushing leak in the Gulf of
Mexico shut down Friday night because of a problem and a
restart was expected on Saturday after a lightning storm
passes.

The company said on its website on Saturday the shutdown
involved a blocked flame arrestor. The second oil collection
system is still running, BP said.

The systems captured 24,500 barrels of oil before the
shutdown at 8:23 p.m. CDT (0123 GMT). The full capacity of the
systems is 28,000 barrels a day.
