(Corrects first paragraph to show economy is seen growing at a
rate of 3.5 pct in 2011)

* Paraguay’s economy seen expanding 9 percent this year

* Budget sees annual inflation at 5 pct in 2011

ASUNCION, Dec 6 (BestGrowthStock) – Paraguay’s economic growth
should slow down to 3.5 percent in 2011 from the 9 percent
growth forecast for 2010, according to the budget for next year
approved by Congress on Monday.

Paraguay, the world’s No. 4 soy exporter, continues to
rebound from last year’s global financial crisis and a drought
that affected agricultural output.

The government raised its 2010 economic growth forecast in
August to 9 percent, which would be the country’s biggest
annual expansion in 29 years, due to an improved agricultural
production outlook. [ID:nN24253185]

The bill approved by the Senate sees annual inflation at 5
percent next year.
