Dave Wireless to launch in Toronto this spring

* Will market services under Mobilicity brand

VANCOUVER, Feb 2 (BestGrowthStock) – Data & Audio Visual
Enterprises Wireless Inc, a low-cost carrier created after
Canada’s wireless spectrum auction in 2008, said on Tuesday it
plans to launch in Toronto this spring.

The company, better known as Dave Wireless, will market its
services under the Mobilicity brand name, “incorporating the
mobile carrier’s focus on simplicity for city-based customers”,

Mobilicity, which will offer contract-free plans, expects
to expand its service later this year to Vancouver, Edmonton,
Calgary and Ottawa.

Start-ups like Dave Wireless and Globalive Communications
Corp, which launched in December under the Wind Mobile brand,
threaten to chip away at the dominance currently enjoyed by
Canada’s Big Three incumbent mobile firms: Telus Corp (T.TO: ),
BCE Inc (BCE.TO: ) and market leader Rogers Communications Inc
(RCIb.TO: ).

Dave Wireless was formed by Canadian holding company
Obelysk and New York private investment firm Quadrangle Capital
Partners. Quadrangle invests in telecom and media companies and
has more than $6 billion in capital under management.
