Deutsche Boerse to debate ISE writedown -sources

FRANKFURT, Dec 7 (BestGrowthStock) – Deutsche Boerse’s (DB1Gn.DE: )
supervisory board is set to discuss writing down the value of
its U.S. platform International Securities Exchange (ISE) at a
meeting on Friday, two people close to the company said.

Deutsche Boerse declined to comment.

The possibility of a charge was raised by the company in
October, and the supervisory board will debate the topic when it
gathers for its year-end meeting to discuss the 2011 budget, the
people said on Tuesday.

Analysts have estimated that Deutsche Boerse may need to
write down more than half of the value of ISE, a struggling U.S.
equity options platform. [ID:nLDE69R1LY] [ID:nLDE69Q2LV]

Christian Muschick, an analyst at Silvia Quandt research
forecasts a charge of around 450 million euros. Muschick further
said Boerse might give new information about full-year 2011
expenses, the dividend and the ISE impairment on Friday.
