Dollar extends losses vs euro, yen after Bernanke

NEW YORK, Oct 15 (BestGrowthStock) – The dollar extended losses
against the euro and yen on Friday after Federal Reserve
Chairman Ben Bernanke said there is a case for further monetary
policy action given low U.S. inflation and high unemployment.

The euro rose as high as $1.4161 (EUR=EBS: ), its strongest
level since late January, from $1.4092 before Bernanke’s
comments. Agains the yen, the dollar fell below 81 yen
(JPY=EBS: ) and was last at 81.06, down 0.5 percent.
