Dollar index falls to near 3-week low; Aussie soars

LONDON, Nov 4 (BestGrowthStock) – The dollar fell to a near
three-week low against a currency basket on Thursday after the
U.S. Federal Reserve launched a new bout of quantitative easing
the previous day.

The dollar index (Read more about the global trade. ), which tracks the performance of the
greenback versus a basket of six other major currencies, fell to
76.160, its lowest since Oct 15, and down 0.4 percent on the
day.

The Australian dollar also hit a 28-year high against the
U.S. dollar of $1.0072 (AUD=D4: ).
