Dominion Va. Surry 2 reactor shut – NRC

NEW YORK, July 12 (BestGrowthStock) – Dominion Resources Inc’s (D.N: )
799-megawatt Surry 2 nuclear power station in Virginia was shut by early
Monday, the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission said in its power reactor
status report.

The unit, in Gravel Neck in Surry County, about 45 miles (72 km)
northwest of Norfolk, Virginia, had been running at full power on Friday.

It was not immediately known why the unit shut.
