Euro falls broadly, 4-year low vs dollar on debt worry

TOKYO (BestGrowthStock) – The euro fell (Read more about the trembling euro. ) to its lowest in more than four years against the dollar and hit an 8-1/2-year low against the yen on Monday as short-term players sold the currency on increasing worries about the region’s debt crisis.

The European single currency fell as far as $1.1911 on trading platform EBS, its lowest since March 2006.

The euro brushed an 8-1/2-year low of 108.58 yen and hit a record low of around 1.3860 Swiss francs.
