Euro falls to session low on Ireland downgrade

versus the dollar on Thursday after ratings agency Fitch
downgraded Ireland’s sovereign debt rating to BBB+ with a stable
outlook.

platform EBS, before steadying to trade around $1.3208.

Fitch said the downgrade reflects the additional fiscal
costs of restructuring and supporting the banking system,
reflecting ongoing contingent liabilities arising from the
