Euro hits 4-month high vs yen

LONDON, March 4 (Reuters) – The euro hit a four-month high
against the yen on Friday as it extended gains made the previous
day after European Central Bank President Jean-Claude Trichet
unexpectedly said an April rate rise was possible.

The euro rose 0.1 percent on the day to hit a high of 115.23
yen on EBS trading platform, a trader said, its highest since
early November 2010.

Further upside was capped, however, with traders citing talk
of offers by Japanese exporters above this level at 115.30-80
