Euro rises to 10-month high versus yen

LONDON, March 30 (Reuters) – The euro rose to a 10-month
high versus a broadly weaker yen on Wednesday, on expectations
that euro zone interest rates will rise in April, in contrast to
forecasts for a prolonged period of monetary easing in Japan.

The euro rose to 117.01 yen (EURJPY=R: Quote, Profile, Research), according to Reuters
data, its highest since May 2010. Traders said system accounts
were being forced to sell yen against most of the major
currencies, including the dollar, which traded at three-week
highs of 83.14 yen (JPY=: Quote, Profile, Research).
