Europe shares tumble after weak U.S. consumer data

LONDON, July 16 (BestGrowthStock) – European shares fell further on
Friday, as weak U.S. consumer sentiment data and disappointing
revenue at General Electric (GE.N: ), Citigroup (C.N: ) and Bank of
America (BAC.N: ) reinforced worries over the economy.

By 1413 GMT, the pan-European FTSEurofirst 300 (.FTEU3: )
index of top shares was down 2 percent at 1,013.07 points.
