European shares extend gains on U.S. payroll data

LONDON, April 1 (Reuters) – European shares extended gains on Friday after
U.S. March nonfarm payrolls rose by 216,000, which was stronger than expected.

By 1236 GMT, the pan-European FTSEurofirst 300 (.FTEU3: Quote, Profile, Research) index of top shares
was up 1 percent at 1,135.52 points.
