European shares extend gains; U.S. data supports

LONDON, Nov 24 (BestGrowthStock) – European shares extended gains on
Wednesday after U.S. data showed new claims for unemployment
benefits dipped more than expected last week, and consumer
spending rose for a fourth straight month in October.

At 1346 GMT, the FTSEurofirst 300 (.FTEU3: ) index of top
European shares was up 0.8 percent at 1,085.53 points after
slipping 1.5 percent to a six-week closing low in the previous
session.
