European shares fall on U.S. durable goods data

LONDON, Aug 25 (BestGrowthStock) – European shares extended losses
on Wednesday after new orders for long-lasting U.S. manufactured
goods rose far less than expected in July.

By 1238 GMT, the pan-European FTSEurofirst 300 (.FTEU3: )
index of top shares was down 1.1 percent at 1,008.43 points
after being as high as 1,021.53 earlier in the session.
