European shares hit two-year highs

LONDON, Nov 9 (BestGrowthStock) – European shares hit their highest
in more than two years on Tuesday, with companies such as
Vodafone (VOD.L: ) and Barclays (BARC.L: ) gaining after updates.
At 0856 GMT, the FTSEurofirst 300 (.FTEU3: ) index of top
European shares was up 0.4 percent at 1,114.85 points, and had
gone as high as 1,115.59, the highest since September 2008.
Vodafone, the world’s largest mobile operator by revenue,
rose 1.7 percent after raising its full-year profit outlook and
saying it had agreed to sell its interests in Japanese carrier
SoftBank (9984.T: ) for 3.1 billion pounds ($5 billion).

British bank Barclays rose 2.4 percent after its update.
