European shares turn negative; Randgold falls

LONDON, Dec 24 (BestGrowthStock) – European shares reversed slim
gains and turned negative on Friday morning, in thin trading,
with many stock markets closed.

At 0849 GMT, the FTSEurofirst 300 (.FTEU3: ) index of top
European shares was down 0.1 percent at 1,145.82 points, having
been as high as 1,147.48 earlier.

West-African focused gold producer Randgold Resources
(RRS.L: ) fell 5.4 percent after saying fourth-quarter production
will be negatively hit by the impact of the political tension in
Ivory Coast on its Tongon mine and a below-target contribution
from its Loulo project in Mali. [ID:nLDE6BM1NI]
