European stock index futures fall after German ban

LONDON, May 19 (BestGrowthStock) – European stock index (Read more about the euro currency recovery. ) futures
pointed to sharp falls on Wednesday, with equities under
pressure after Germany’s decision to ban naked short-selling of
some securities prompted investors to shun riskier assets.

By 0601 GMT, futures for the STOXX Europe 50 (STXEc1: ),
Germany’s DAX (FDXc1: ) and France’s CAC-40 (FCEc1: ) shed 1.1 to
2.2 percent.
