FACTBOX-Mexico lawmakers shape 2011 budget package

Oct 19 (BestGrowthStock) – The finance committee in Mexico’s lower
house approved a budget plan on Tuesday evening that will seek
a higher budget deficit than a plan proposed by conservative
President Felipe Calderon.

Lawmakers in Latin America’s second-largest economy must
prepare a final budget by the second-week of November.

The budget plan that Finance Minister Ernesto Cordero last
month handed to Congress, which must vote on the proposal,
includes double digit boosts for some security budgets as the
country battles violent drug cartels.
