(BestGrowthStock) – Following are security developments in Afghanistan reported until 1200 GMT on Thursday:
KUNDUZ – Afghan and foreign troops killed 15 Taliban insurgents in northern Kunduz province on Thursday, Mahboubullah Saeedi, a spokesman for the provincial governor, said. Two Afghan soldiers were also killed in the offensive, he said.
Three foreign soldiers were wounded during the raid when their vehicle hit a roadside bomb, another Afghan official said.
The Taliban said they lost three fighters and killed seven foreign and Afghan soldiers.
KANDAHAR – A British soldier died of wounds he had suffered in a blast on Wednesday in southern Kandahar province, the British Ministry of Defense said on Thursday.
