Fed’s Lockhart says bar is high for more bond buys

FT. MYERS, Florida, March 25 (Reuters) – The U.S. economy
would have to deteriorate significantly for the Federal Reserve
to consider an additional round of bond purchases, Atlanta
Federal Reserve Bank President Dennis Lockhart said on Friday.

“Given my current outlook for the economy … it’s a high
bar,” Lockhart told reporters after a speech.
