Fight between two soldiers leaves one shot, one stabbed

CLARKSVILLE, Tennessee (BestGrowthStock) – Two Fort Campbell soldiers were airlifted to a Nashville hospital after a fight between them left one soldier stabbed and the other shot, the U.S. Army said in a statement on Wednesday.

One of the injured soldiers was a military police officer who was on routine patrol early Tuesday morning when he stopped to question a soldier, according to a statement issued by the military post.

A violent dispute ensued, and the MP was stabbed and the suspect was shot, according to the Fort Campbell statement. Special agents from the U.S. Army Criminal Investigation Command are investigating the incident.

Fort Campbell, the home of the 101st Airborne Division, is on the border of Tennessee and Kentucky, just outside Clarksville, Tenn.

The Army has not yet released the names, ranks and conditions of the soldiers.
