Flemish party withdraws support for Belgian govt

BRUSSELS, April 22 (BestGrowthStock) – The Flemish liberal party
withdrew its support for the five-party coalition of Belgian
Prime Minister Yves Leterme on Thursday, threatening the
five-month-old goverment with collapse.

Without the liberal Open VLD party’s backing, Leterme’s
government has only a slim majority with 76 of the 150 seats in
the lower house of parliament.
