FOREX-Euro climbs to session peak against the dollar

NEW YORK, March 28 (Reuters) – The euro climbed to a
session peak against the dollar on Monday, though it was still
little changed from the prior New York close, after European
Central Bank President Jean-Claude Trichet said inflation rates
are durably above the price stability target. [ID:nWEA1186]

Investors have been primed for the ECB to raise rates as
soon as next month which would raise the attractiveness of the
euro.

The euro was last at $1.4084 (EUR=: Quote, Profile, Research) after going as high as
$1.4088.
