FOREX-Euro pares losses; Trichet comments on inflation

NEW YORK, March 28 (Reuters) – The euro pared losses
against the dollar on Monday after European Central Bank
President Jean-Claude Trichet said inflation rates are durably
above the price stability target. [ID:nWEA1186]

Investors have been primed for the ECB to raise rates as
soon as next month which would raise the attractiveness of the
euro.

The euro was last at $1.4075 (EUR=: Quote, Profile, Research), little changed from
the prior New York close and well off the low of $1.4019.
