Greek finmin: debt restructuring not on the table

LONDON, Nov 8 (BestGrowthStock) – Greece is not considering a
restructuring of its debt, the country’s finance minister said
on Monday,

“We have said very clearly there is no issue of debt
restructuring on the table,” Finance Minister George
Papaconstantinou told reporters following a speech in London.

He added that the government’s victory in local elections
on Sunday showed that Prime Minister George Papandreou had the
nation’s support to push on with fiscal reforms as Greece
struggles with debt problems.

“The election yesterday showed that we continue to have a
clear mandate for reform,” he said.
