Honeymoon ends abruptly as Wisconsin man shoots at wife

MILWAUKEE (BestGrowthStock) – The honeymoon ended quickly for a 30-year-old Wisconsin man, who was charged on Wednesday with drunkenly firing two shots into a car driven by his wife of two weeks, police said.

Joseph Vicker of Greenbush faces endangering safety and firearm charges, including operating a firearm while intoxicated.

Capt. Dave Adams of the Sheboygan County Sheriff’s Department said the couple was arguing shortly after midnight Tuesday when the woman, 30, decided to leave.

As she pulled away from her home, the man fired at least twice, shattering the rear passenger window. The incident was discovered after the woman’s 1999 Ford Taurus skidded into a ditch about two miles away. When a deputy inquired about the broken window, the woman said “He shot at me,” Adams said.

Two long guns were seized from the house, but Adams declined to say what kind of weapon was used in the shooting.

Adams said three children were home at the time of the incident.
