IMF to approve Greece aid this week-IMF chief

WASHINGTON, May 2 (BestGrowthStock) – The head of the International
Monetary Fund, Dominique Strauss-Kahn, said on Sunday the IMF
board would approve its portion of Greece’s 110 billion euro
($146.5 billion) financial rescue plan this week.

In a statement, Strauss-Kahn said the IMF would contribute
30 billion euros ($40 billion) to the total package and the
rest would come from euro zone members. The strong measures
adopted by the Greek government to fix its economy merited “an
exceptional level of access to IMF resources,” he added.
