Ireland closes airspace until 1700 GMT Saturday

DUBLIN, April 17 (BestGrowthStock) – Ireland’s airspace will be
closed until 1700 GMT on Saturday, after opening on Friday, the
Irish Aviation Authority said, as clouds of volcanic ash from
Iceland returned to the skies above Ireland.

“No commercial passenger flights including North American
traffic will operate from any Irish airport during this period,”
the IAA said in a statement.

Irish airline Ryanair (RYA.I: ), Europe’s biggest low-cost
carrier, has cancelled all its flights to and from northern
European countries until 1200 GMT on Monday.

Former state airline Aer Lingus cancelled its flights for
the rest of Saturday.
