PARIS (Reuters) – Ivory Coast’s Laurent Gbagbo is still alive after his residence in Abidjan was partially destroyed in an overnight attack by U.N. and French forces, Gagbo’s spokesman in Paris said Monday.

“President Gbagbo is still alive, despite the violence of the bombing which destroyed several buildings of the head of state’s residence,” Toussaint Alain told Reuters.
