Japan govt to extend housing loan scheme – Nikkei

TOKYO, Aug 19 (BestGrowthStock) – Japan’s government will likely
extend a low-interest, fixed-rate housing loan scheme by 15
months to help support the economy, the Nikkei business daily
reported on Thursday, citing a source at the Land and
Infrastructure Ministry.

The government introduced the programme, which reduces the
rate paid on loans for eco-friendly and quake-resistant homes, in
December as part of an economic stimulus package.
